　　Lu Deming, born in 1905, began to get in touch with progressive books and periodicals such as New Youth during his study in Chengdu Public College, and accepted Marxist thoughts, which can be said to be the best of his generation. Lu Deming soon realized that the thinness of calligraphy and ink could not bear the vastness of rivers and mountains, so he resolutely abandoned his pen and joined the army. In 1924, he was admitted to Huangpu Military Academy and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC). From then on, only from the preserved letters from home can we vaguely distinguish a homesick scholar. That year, Lu Deming was nineteen years old.

　　Three years later, Lu Deming led the guards to participate in the autumn harvest uprising on the Hunan-Jiangxi border led by Mao Zedong, and served as the commander-in-chief of the uprising troops. After the uprising was frustrated, Lu Deming firmly supported Mao Zedong’s idea of shifting the attack direction to rural areas, which played an important role in the final adoption of this correct decision.

　　Since ancient times, it is difficult to see a white head in the world. In order to cover the advance of the troops, Lu Deming stood up in the enemy’s attack. He turned back from the former team, led a company to seize the high ground to block the enemy spy camp and peace preservation corps, and at the same time commanded the scattered officers and men of the 3rd regiment to move closer to the avant-garde troops. In the process, Lu Deming was hit by a bullet in his right chest and died heroically. His short life was fixed at the age of 22.

　　Later, next to a ditch in Shankouyan Village, Shangbu Town, Luxi County, Jiangxi Province, a villager found Lu Deming’s body and buried it hastily, and the spirited General White Horse died. The villagers who buried the bones for him later learned that the young man who died was called Lu Deming.

　　Sacrifice too early, later generations were able to discuss all kinds of speculations and comments on such topics as "How much could Lu Deming have achieved if he lived to the founding of New China". The final conclusion may be slightly different, but most of them are full of regrets between the lines.

　　Fortunately, the will of the hero has not been silenced. In Shankouyan Village, Lu Deming-related memorials can be seen everywhere, and the villagers are also familiar with his deeds, which will not be forgotten by history or people.
