In the just-concluded picking season, it once again welcomes a bumper harvest.

　　Small kiwifruit makes great industry.

　　Adjacent to Louguantai Scenic Area, the birthplace of Taoist culture, it is adjacent to Jiuyu River in the east and Macha River in the west, and backed by Qinling Mountains, with unique natural climate conditions. For a long time, Zhouyi Village, like other villages, made a living by growing grain, with meager income. In the late 1980s, in order to change the poverty, Zhouyi Village was determined to develop kiwifruit industry. Now, Qiping, the Party branch secretary and village committee director of Zhouyi Village, took the lead in starting trial planting in his contracted land, and quickly became the leading industry in the village.

　　Over the past few years, the output value of kiwifruit in Monday village has reached the good benefit of "one acre of garden and ten acres of field". After the scale of the industry was formed, on Monday, the village introduced new varieties from the international market and established a demonstration garden, forming three strains of red, yellow and green, covering the planting pattern of eight varieties with early, middle and late maturity. The economic benefit of kiwifruit is 3 to 5 times higher than that of traditional varieties.

　　Shi Liye, the first secretary of Xi ‘an Qujiang New District Management Committee in Zhouyi Village, introduced that at present, the whole village of Zhouyi Village has developed 4,300 mu of kiwifruit planting area, accounting for 95% of the whole village’s cultivated area, and 60 kiwifruit refrigerators have been built with a storage capacity of 5,000 tons. And set up a professional cooperative of organic kiwifruit in Zhouyi Village, with 1,200 members.

　　Shi Liye introduced that in addition to the domestic market, some high-quality kiwifruit in Zhouyi Village has been exported abroad. Nowadays, as the leader of kiwifruit industry in Zhouzhi County, 92% of farmers in Zhouyi Village participate in kiwifruit industry, and 90% of farmers’ income comes from this. In 2021, the total output of kiwifruit in the village was 8,500 tons, the sales income of fresh fruit was 70 million yuan, and the per capita income of kiwifruit in the village exceeded 16,000 yuan, accounting for more than 95% of the per capita income of farmers.

　　However, just getting rich can no longer satisfy the villagers on Monday. They still have bigger dreams.

　　"It is necessary to rationally allocate rural resources around the whole industrial chain of modern agriculture, form a harmonious resource development relationship, let villagers feel the comfort and convenience of life, and embark on a rural revitalization road with weekly characteristics … …” In the kiwifruit orchard, Qiping outlined the future of Monday Village to reporters.

　　Ten minutes’ walk from the entrance of Zhouyi Village to the south, on a hillside with swaying bamboo forests, there is a green brick house, with neat lawns, golden ginkgo and fiery persimmons dotted among these houses, revealing the unique tranquility and peace of the countryside.

　　This is the village residence built by Zhouyi Village. Since last year, in order to promote the effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, develop the collective economy, expand the channels for people to increase income, and strengthen environmental protection, Monday Village decided to develop rural tourism homestay projects while strengthening the development of kiwifruit-led industries.

　　The B&B project was developed from Monday Village’s unified integration of 11 idle houses. The villagers used the right to use the houses as shares, and the village collective economic organizations unified the decoration and construction of 14 houses. This year’s "May Day" holiday, the B&B officially opened its doors to welcome guests, and the scheduled tourists were full several times. This project can not only provide 19 jobs for the village on Monday, but also drive the villagers to increase their income and get rich. At the same time, it also achieves multi-goals and win-win results such as the development of village collective economy and the governance of rural ecological environment.
