The TV series "Da Kao" focuses on the college entrance examination under the epidemic situation, taking "one city, two schools and several typical families" as the incision, vividly reproduces the story of the college entrance examination in a special period, and shows the youthful elegance of contemporary China. This drama series is the key project of the theme TV series "Our New Era" of the State Administration of Radio and Television.
The story happened on the eve of the Spring Festival in 2020. The sudden epidemic changed the study and life track of senior three students, and a "big exam" kicked off. Tian Wenwen, a student, is estranged from her parents who work in other places. Xueba Zhou Bowen wants to help his father quit Internet addiction; Wu Jiajun, who dreamed of an art test, was opposed by his mother; Gao Mingyu, a poor student, lacks the conditions for online classes, and travels several kilometers down the mountain to attend classes every day … The epidemic has finally been controlled, students have resumed classes and are actively preparing for the college entrance examination, and the contradictions among students, parents and teachers have gradually resolved. In order to shoot this drama well, the producer Aiqiyi assembled a strong creative team: directed by Shen Yan (My First Half Life and Chinese Relationship), who won the Magnolia Award for Best Director, and Shen Jie (Feather Flying to the Sky and White Deer Plain), who won the Flying Award for Excellent Screenplay, served as artistic director, and Feng Weiwei, vice president of Aiqiyi Company, served as producer. In terms of actors, Guo Jingfei, Hu Xianxu, Li Gengxi, Lawrence Wang and others co-starred, and Chen Baoguo and Wang Qianyuan joined in.
In March 2022, the play was filmed in Shexian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, and was finished on June 16.

The drama focuses on the grassroots cadres of the county party Committee, and tells the story that Guangming County has taken on a new look with the unremitting efforts of generations of grassroots county party Committee cadres and local people. The drama series reflects the new actions of the continuous improvement of social governance system and the continuous improvement of grassroots governance capacity in China since the 18th CPC National Congress. The play will participate in the creation, exhibition and broadcasting of the theme works of "Our New Era" by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.
On the eve of the 19th National Congress, Mei Xiaoge (Hugh) took office as the county magistrate of Guangming County, and became colleagues with the county party secretary Lv Qingshan (Huang Lei) and deputy secretary Ai Xianzhi (wuyue). At this time, they are facing Guangming County, which is in urgent need of getting out of the predicament and seeking development. Mei Xiaoge has a high emotional intelligence and a good affinity. After taking office, she traveled to hundreds of villages in Guangming County without stopping. After being elected secretary of the county party committee, Mei Xiaoge led cadres to improve their work style, adhere to the concept of green development, and protect people’s livelihood on the basis of protecting the environment … With the efforts of the county party committee, Guangming County finally realized its ideal of managing the county by getting rid of poverty and getting rich and developing healthily.
Only by going deep into life, reality and the masses can we make the characters more vivid and tell the story more deeply. However, the creative difficulty of "Courtyard of County Committee" is to extract life stories in more than 1,300 counties in China. Therefore, under the coordination arrangement of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the creative team adopted the most direct "grass-roots" approach. Screenwriter Wang Xiaoqiang and co-director Mao Mao went to Dayu County, Jiangxi Province, and Hengyang County, Hunan Province, respectively, for several months and accumulated rich materials.
Wang Xiaoqiang’s post-employment experience lasted nearly five months, during which he was deeply involved in the work and life of grassroots cadres. No matter during working hours or rest days, he worked with grassroots cadres during the day, chatted in the evening, and went back to sort out records and take work notes at night. Wang Xiaoqiang introduced that there are hundreds of people who have a surname and a beginning and an end in the script of "County Courtyard", which is also the one with the most roles in his script. "This creation has brought me great gains. A good script is stepped out with your feet."
In order to present a sense of the times, the crew visited Hunan, Hubei, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi and other places, visited 50 county-level governments, and determined the final landscape plan. The office, conference room, boiling water room, bathroom, and even desktop ornaments, steel window design, exterior building landscape, slogans and banners are all close to the reality.
Hou Hongliang said that he was deeply touched by the creation of "Courtyard of the County Party Committee", and the content of the drama and the spirit presented by the characters also affected the working state of the crew-the cast members were particularly United, with a sense of belief and responsibility, and kept striving for perfection, just like Mei Xiaoge and his colleagues in the drama, "working hard in one place".
According to the plan, "County Courtyard" will be finished at the end of July.
